Founded in 2023, Nairobi, Kenya โ built by Africans, for Africa.
wasaaCloud was founded in 2023 by a team of engineers who experienced first-hand the frustration of running African businesses on cloud infrastructure located thousands of kilometres away. High latency, dollar-denominated invoices and support teams that had never seen an M-Pesa prompt were the norm.
We decided to build the cloud platform we wished existed โ one with servers in Nairobi, billing in KES, and a support team that answers in English, Swahili or Kikuyu at 2am East Africa Time.
Today we power over 500 businesses across Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, from early-stage startups to publicly listed companies, all running on wasaaCloud's infrastructure.
Our mission is to make enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure accessible to every African business, regardless of size. We believe that the next generation of African innovation should not be held back by infrastructure designed for a different continent.
By operating data centres in Africa, accepting local payments and building products tailored to African developers, we are lowering the barrier to cloud adoption โ and helping African companies compete on the global stage.
A passionate team of African engineers, operators and builders.
